Globally, we are investing in a team of ‘hunters’ whose mission is to target new clients within the maritime market. This hunting role will report to the Sales Director Europe East and in dotted line to the New Business Director for the region.
Your Mission
As New Business Sales Manager – Maritime, you will:
- Lead Marlink’s ambition to capture new recurring revenue from new customers within the area in the maritime segment
- Open new accounts for Marlink in the area by leveraging market demand for secure managed network solutions, IoT data capture and ICT
- Use a structured sales planning process to engage the global Marlink organization in capturing new business
Main Tasks
Responsible for capturing new business and new logos, for revenue growth and achieving sales targets by developing and executing effective sales strategies, aligned with the overall business objectives.
- Identify potential new customers within the area
- With the support of the Marlink team, develop and execute a strategy to capture each identified and qualified customer and opportunities
- Travel within the area for customer-facing meetings
- Deliver sales proposals and negotiate commercial contracts , singing and secure recurring revenue
- Provide market, customer and competitive information to the Marlink organization to support further development of the Marlink Product and Services Portfolio

- Excellent communication skills with ability to inspire trust, to position technically and emotionally values to clients and to convince customers, ability to uncover customer pains and generate opportunities and to identify decision making power within the customer organization
- Empathy and Emotional Intelligence, read between the lines in client conversations and adapt strategy
- Collaboration and cross functional ability to work smoothly with Marketing, Product, Pricing, Pre-Sales, Experts, Finance and Operations. Build consensus while defending the needs of Sales
- Self-motivated, works autonomously
- Actively shares information and knowledge within the organization
- Can effectively engage with clients & colleagues from different levels and business cultures in different time zones
Qualifications & Professional skills
- Proven successful experience capturing new market share in a competitive MSP ICT environment, ideally within a managed service provider or systems integrator
- Knowledge of the maritime industry would be positive but not essential
- Consultative selling approach with proven experience in liaising with c-level decision makers
- An Engineering educational background and a university degree is preferred, an MBA is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a good command of written and spoken English as well as German
- In possession of a valid passport and driver’s license. Flexibility to travel within the region and beyond
- Ideally living in one of our key offices in area. You must be eligible to live and work in the area to apply!
